MOJU was founded in 2015 by Charlie and Rich, two best mates who found their cold-pressing hobby gave them more mojo than the corporate grind ever did.
They might not be your typical ‘wellness warriors.’ But somewhere between the first home-made blends in Charlie’s Mum’s kitchen to the shot in your bottle today, they’ve become the ginger-wielding hellraisers of health and wellbeing.
Powered by potent super roots, MOJU is now the UK's favourite and freshest way to ignite the day.
The early days
Charlie and Rich became best mates at Uni, bonding over surfing (badly), music festivals and a love for the great outdoors.
They both wound up in corporate jobs – and like many others, relied on endless coffee, energy drinks and bottled smoothies to get them through. But that all changed one surf trip to Indonesia.
Swapping the heavily processed stuff with ginger and turmeric, they found these amazing ingredients were a fresher way to power their day.
Determined to keep feeding the fire, they bought a cold-press and started making juices and shots, with locally sourced fruit and veg and the best super roots they could get their hands on.
Shaking things up
What started as a personal stash quickly became something much bigger.
Scaling to a kitchen lock-up in Staines, Charlie and Rich hit the road in a three-wheeler van, bringing ailing festival goers and fitness fanatics “back from the dead.”
Next up: London’s coffee shops. Riding the specificality coffee wave, they put their shots into the hands of busy commuters and office workers.
This is now
Since launching in Waitrose back in 2016 (thanks to a very forward-thinking buyer), our shots are now sold in every major supermarket and thousands of other retailers across the UK.
We’ve officially made Ginger and Turmeric Shots a thing… and we’re just warming up.
To this day MOJU is still founder-led, but our CRU is now one of the best in the biz, as we continue to make our shots a daily staple in households across the UK and beyond.

We're growing fast, but we're still totally committed to sourcing the best ingredients and being responsible for the impact we make as a business.
In 2017, we became a founding member of 1% for the Planet in the UK, donating 1% of our sales every year to environmental impact causes.
We’re also B Corp certified, which underpins our missions to help people live everyday with more mojo, powered by nature’s most potent and nutritious ingredients.
